I’m a mom of three girls who are bright, sharp, witty, perceptive, and always entertaining. My goal in life is to laugh more every day, and try to live in the moment. This is hard to do when you have a husband, 3 kids, 2 houses (one rental), two businesses, and a full time job. So – this blog will hopefully be the place where I can park all my thoughts, ideas, musings and brainstorms (I have a lot of those!). If I park them then I can go on with life and not feel like I’m having to remember something all the time!
MadJelly is the name I came up with for this blog when trying to combine all three of my daughter’s names…and it describes them perfectly…sometimes Mad, sometimes sweet like Jelly, and always Funny. Also, I often get confused and call my daughters the wrong name and end up mixing them together.
I live on a 30 acre homestead- slash-summer day camp in Middle Tennessee with aforementioned family plus a lop-eared bunny and three alpacas. My husband is a neuroscientist-turned-camp director, and we love being out in the country, trying to grow things in the garden, making lots of compost, and trying to figure out what to do with all the alpaca fiber. I’m on an adventure, and thank God every day for this whimsical life He gave me!
